To participate in our lives does not mean that we control our lives.
Not to control our lives does not mean that we are passive.
The most healing thing we can do for ourselves is to participate in the process of our lives as fully as we can
- even when the unexpected and the fearful happen. ~unknown

Good Day, Bad Day

Day started out a bit rough. Kids messed with the cat sitting in the window above our bed. Cat launched to get away from Thing2 and landed on my face. Good thing - got me up and moving and to early service at church. That was a blessing and a curse - good for me, bad for me.

I've cried a lot today. Some because I am pissed with God, then I feel guilty because I'm pissed and shouldn't be, then pissed again for feeling guilty for being pissed at God, which I shouldn't be. Vicious cycle huh? Some tears are due to watching Deep Impact. Not a good movie to watch when 1. you're a parent and 2. emotionally unstable.

Need to break the funk. It's not doing me any good. Hard to do when I'm terrified of surgery and second guessing my decision. This is one time I know for sure I'm making a decision based on what my husband and kiddles need and putting them first.

Off to a mommy playdate that includes wine, guac and chips. Carbs and fat anyone?
